hotel emma staycation...

Happy hump day loves!!  Tomorrow is a special day...it's our 5 year wedding anniversary, but since our schedules couldn't mesh to get us both off tomorrow we celebrated early with a little staycation at  Hotel Emma and it was magical!!  Everyone was super friendly and the inside of the hotel was perfection....seriously I felt like I was walking around with my mouth open half the time and just trying to take it all in!
When we arrived to our room we had a sweet little note and some bubbles to toast our anniversary which I thought was so sweet!  I love hotels that go above and beyond to help celebrate whatever it is you are there for!!

So after checking out our room and trying to get J to take a selfie with me...all I got was him on the bed like this...punk...we headed down to the library to get our welcome La Babia Margaritas...I mean any hotel that welcomes me with a free marg is a winner in my book!  They also had little bites to munch on and it was nice to just relax a bit and people watch!

So crazy fact...J has never been to The Pearl Brewery and it's one of my faves places to go so it was fun showing him around.  My plan was to get him to fall in love with it so we could move to Cellars which are the most amazing and crazy expensive apartments which we probably can't afford but a girl can dream right...but my plan worked because by the end of the night he was talking about how cool it would be to live there...bwahahahaha.
So anyways, it was crazy hot out so we headed over to lick to get some ice cream and it was delish!!  I got PB&J because as we all know I'm 4 year old in a 30 something year old body, but we tasted quite a few of the flavors and they were all so yummy!

We then headed back to the room to relax and cool off after melting outside and later headed to Sternewirth, which is the hotel bar for some drinks and bites.  Honestly most of our staycation was eating and drinking...so basically it was amazing...but it was really cool in there.  Lots of big cozy couches with pillows and random chairs put together...again perfect for people watching and having a more chill evening.  We then stopped at Larder, which is a little grocery store in the hotel, to pick up some drinks and snacks to have for the night and headed up to our room...and talk about a turn down service surprise...we had macarons from Bakery Lorraine and the cutest little ellie charm to remember our stay!
We got to sleep in the next morning, but we were both ready to get back home to our little fur baby, who was partying it up with his Uncle while we were gone!  So we had a little lunch at Bakery Lorraine and turned J into an insta hubby for a quick pick and then we headed home!  Overall it was the perfect little getaway and I'm already planning our next stay at Hotel Emma!!
