my town is chi town...

Hey, hey, hey...what is this??  Yes...it is a second blog post in less than a week!  First of all thank you for all of your sweet words about my last post!  While lots of unfortunate things have happened this year a lot of good things happened as well...so I thought I could fill you in (you know all 4 of you that read this thing...hi grandma...) on the good things that happened, starting with CHICAGO!!
As I like to tell everyone I may ever meet...I am not from Texas.  I am not a southerner, I don't think y'all is a legit word, I'm not used to people shooting guns for fun, and big scary bugs, and sweet tea.  I am a midwestern girl and since moving to Texas I haven't been back to visit in almost 3 years!!!  I know, it's horrible, but there is this thing I like to call "Texas Time" where one minute it's January and then hello it's xmas like 2 weeks later...I blame it on no real season change...and then you're like wait it's been 3 years already...stupid Texas.

Anyway...my little bro Ian, was graduating from grad school and so it was the perfect excuse to get our little butts back home.  It was the perfect little escape from the Texas heat...I got to wear sweaters and scarves you guys...it was amazing...and we got some quality family time in (minus my seester who couldn't make it out, but she was there in spirit).

So a big fat congrats to Ian, for being a grad school rockstar!  I'm so proud of you and all that you have accomplished!  Now back to me...
So there was a Sprinkles Cupcake ATM.  Why they did not think of this sooner is beyond me.  So delish and so pink...
Also I found several opportunities to take outfit pics...which if you follow me on insta, and you definitely should be, then you've seen all of these.  This crazy bun was outta control let me tell you!!!
Oh yeah...and my youngest brother Austin turned 21!!!!  Talk about making me feel sooooo old....like really, really old.  And speaking of really old, we got to see my grandparents...hehe sorry guys it was an easy transition...

Always cheesin' it up...I love my family so much!

And while it was a great trip, I was definitely excited to get back to my little baby...who loved his present of course...ugh that face...gets me every time.  Plus it was easy to head back south because I knew I would be coming back...and sooner than even I thought...stay tuned...
