feeling thrifty...

lets be real...sometimes clothes are sooo expensive.  i've worked at several high end boutiques and it's very easy to get sucked into that world of designers and trends and things that you absolutely must have because omg it is just so cute and you have to have it even though it's really just a short sleeve tee with a ruffle, but it's alice and olivia so who cares if it's almost $200...yeah i've been there (and i own that tee with the ruffle...and it is so cute)...but that's what happens when you're surrounded by all of that...you get sucked in and want it all, but being fashionable isn't about how much money you can spend.  a lot of times you can find things just as pretty and a fraction of the price.

so obviously i jumped at the chance to be a part of

 wanted to prove that 
style is more than fashion...and therefore you had to create an outfit that was totally thrifted...and for some reason when i go thrifting, i'm totes drawn to the most obnoxious pieces...loud prints, sparkle, oversized shapes...you name it i want it!  i hope you love the look i put together...i was so excited to find this dress (complete with shoulder pads), polka dot scarf, and pearl necklace.  the shoes are mine because the somehow the thought of wearing someone else shoes creeps me out.  and the best part...it cost me a total of $8!!  enjoy!

    Super cute outfit! I love thrifting. And I am all about fashion on a budget. Its true its so easy to get caught up in expensive items and wanting it all! But as a momma and wife I know I can have (afford) it all! lol So Im all about affordable fashion! lol
