so are you totes sick of all the ooey gooey heart love this month?  not me!!  i've become heart obsessed...which is why these heart sugar cookies were the perfect thing to make last week!

camo, olive, army green...whatever you want to call it, it is one of my fave colors to wear.  whenever i'm shopping i always find myself drawn to that color.  to me it's the perfect neutral that literally goes with everything, so when i found these obnoxiously wide leg pants in my fave color i knew they had to be mine...and since it's time for our monthly road trip to dallas, this is the perfect outfit to be comfy in on a four hour car ride, yet still look cute!

sometimes i think i have fashion ADD...

one day i'm super girly ladylike, the next day i'm hardcore edgy, and the next day i'm super casual, but i think that's the great thing about clothes.  you can dress for who you want to be that day and as long as you feel good about yourself you can rock whatever look you want.

lately i've been addicted for free people.  i love that their pieces can all be mixed and matched to bring out all aspects of me...i can be a girly, edgy, casual lady all in one...plus how great would an mrd look with like everything on their website!!  i'm definitely loving some of their new february pieces featured in this fun new short film video!

my illinois mind is telling me that it's february and i should be falling into a major winter slump right now.  that february funk that gets me every time.

my texas mind is telling me that's it february and i should be smiling and enjoying life because it's 75 degrees every day and it's just going to get hotter.  

(i know i keep talking about the weather but this midwest girl just can't get over it)

so sorry february funk...the only blues you're going to see is my love of anything navy!

does anyone else watch downton abbey?  sooo obsessed with that show...i mean those dresses, the accessories, the finger waves...i love it all!  every time i watch it i want to chop my hair into a cute little bob.  luckily i've learned to control my hair impulses...for now...and it's super easy to create a fun little faux bob for the day...i am a hair stylist after all!
