opposites attract

i really enjoy things that at first glance don't seem to go together.  i also really enjoy things that at first glance aren't the prettiest...and then looking at them in a way that makes them beautiful.  it's all about changing your perception.

kinda like this outfit...usually i don't wear warm reds and oranges.  they don't really work with my complexion as well, but i love the oversized comfort of this tee.  and this skirt is kind of a weird color combo...not quite olive, but not quite gray stripes with a very warm bubblegum pink...i think the skirt is just confused.  so obviously, why not put them together?  i love pairing things that you might look at and think....hmmm...what was she thinking...but then you're like...ok...i totes get it.  the longer you stare at it the more it works...i think...and top it off with an "i'm channeling pocahontas" braid and you have a look that started out with two blah pieces and now will definitely turn heads...hopefully in a good way;)

I LOVE that skirt!!!!! And I love it with that tee!
    The knot works so perfectly!

Pencil skirts are hard for me due to my pear shape, but I may give this a whirl!

    I'm in love :D
