can we believe that it is may already?  this year is flying...and i know this month will too...may is always crazy for my fam!  anyways, i found a new blog today...story of my life, and jenni is doing this fun challenge all month long called, Blog Every Day In May...which is basically blogging every day in may;)  there are fun topics for every day, so i'm going to attempt to keep up and hopefully you'll get to know me a little better!
so onto day one:

"the story of your life in 250 words or less"

i was born december 6, 1982...yes that means i'm 30!  i'm the oldest of 4 and have the most amazing family!  in high school i was in musicals, poms, played the cello, and even rocked out as britney spears in our school's impersonation assembly (and yes i sang live and had back up dancers...and yes my dad was so into the performance that he forgot to press record on the video camera...thanks again dad).  

after high school, i took a year off and worked as a barista where i met some of my best friends to this day AND my husband, J.  that job will probably still be one of my most favorite times.  after that year i started cosmetology school, while J left for school in san diego.  we spent about 3 years in a long distance relationship, and i decided that doing hair was something i liked, but not loved.  

J transferred back to Chicago, while i fed my fashion love by working in several small boutiques.  after awhile, my hair background kicked back in and instead of doing hair, i found my love of "decorating" it, by starting my hair accessory line, mila rose designs. 

after almost 10 years of dating, J finally popped the question and we ran off to coronado to get married, and while we were making big life changes we decided to move to texas to be closer to my family (who had also made the move last summer).  now with J's new job and being in a new city it's a whole new chapter in my life story and i can't wait to see what's next!
